TO-DAY'S POLL.
RESULT WILL 'BE GAZETTED LATE IN MAY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Bon. T. Wilford receives all returns in connection with the poll, and the first official announcement made by him will be through the Gazette. The Government decided that district results may be made public as soon as they go to the chief returning officer, but even with the last district results known, the issue will be in doubt unless one side or the other has a majority of 45,000, the approximate size of the soldiers' votes. The votes recorded in the United Kingdom, France and Egypt will be sent by cable, but wireless will not be used. Thus, the final result of the poll cannot be announced till after the arrival of the last troopship hailing from England before April 10, it will thus be fairly late in May before the announcemert is made- No soldiera' votes supporter of the Moderate League 0 of this issue—-Advt.
