SMALL HOLDINGS. ■ CONDEMNED BY EIDER HAGGARD. Received April 2, 9.55 p.mi London, March 2Q. Sir H. Rider Haggard remarked in his evidence at the Birth Rate Commission that he knew of no small holdings that had been successful. He urged that emigration within the Empire and distribution of the population would solve many problems. He ruled out small holdings. —Aug. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
OPPOSING BOLSHEVISM. GERMANS CREATING CHAOS. Received April 2, 9.55 p.m. London, March 20. Hyndman and the National Socialist Party are arranging meetings in England to oppose Bolshevism. Mr Samuel Hoare, M.P., asserts that there is a strong suspicion at Westminster that some Germans are acting in concert With the Bolshevists to create chaos everywhere, in order to justify a refusal to sign peace.—Alls.
