THE JOHANNESBURG STRIKE. REPORTS FROM CAPETOWN. Johannesburg, March 29. Following last night's meeting the employees of the municipal power station resolved to strike and appointed a strike committee, which intimated that applications for light and power by public institutions would be considered on their merits. Everything is quite. Capetown, March 29. A Johannesburg message states that the town is in complete darkness and the train service stopped in consequence of a sudden strike of the power station employees. The Amalgamated Society of Engineers called out all members of the society employed by the 'municipality, thus affecting the sanitary and water services.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
