PROGRESSIVE RINKS MATCH. In consequence of tbe large number of entries received for the pairs match which if was proposed to hold at the New Plymouth green yesterday, it was agreed to play rinks, and an enjoyable day's howling resulted- Day 'commenced at 10.30 am. with 10 rinks in, and (i rounds were played, the conclusion being fought out between .Jury and Newell, who each had 5 wins and one. loss on the day's play, In the playoff the rinks were: Carter, Crockett, Hill, Jury (skip) v. Green, Billiard, fioadle, Xewel! (skip), the latter winning by 5t02 in a 7-head game. Following are tlu results of the day's play: Liiseombe Abbott .. Starkev . Firth "... Wood ... Johnson .
