ITrZROY DEFEAT NEW PLYMOUTH A. At the town green on Saturday an enjoyable match was played between the above teams in ideal weather. The green was on the heavy side, but played well. A. K, Smart proved much too strong for Jury, but Abbott made amends by inflicting a severe defeat on Rundle. Allen and Burgess were equally matched, while Bennett, who played a splendid game, defeated Ingram. Fitzroy won by eleven points. A progressive pairs competition will be held on the New Plymouth bowling green, commencing at 10.30 a.m. to-day.

WEST END WIN THE GILMOUR OUP. The -final match in the Gilmour Cup competition was played on Saturday, when West E7id and New Plymouth B, who were level in the leading position, met on the West End green. West End proved victorious by 20 points, winning at each of the three rink 3. Detailed scores are as follow, West End mentioned first in each instance:—
