EAWERA v. MANAIA. Three Jawera rinks visited Manaia on Wednesday afternoon, and secured a win by 20 points. Scores, Hawera being mentioned first: —Westaway, Allan, Spence, R. Hicks 36; Chisnall, Greenhill, Franklin, J. Christie 11. McPhillips, Campbell, Corlcill, Keen 27; Stevens, Hansen, Kirk, H. Christie 18. Till, Pratt, Adamson, Grant 15; McCarthy, Hair, Smith, Armitage 29. Totals—Hawera 78, Manaia 58.
The following Fitzroy rinks will play on the New Plymouth green to-mor-row:—Oxenham, West, Beadle, Smith (skip); Buckle, Butler, Northern, Allan (skip); Sole, Best, Brooker, Jury (skip); Johnson, Williams, Welter, Higgs (skip). At Napier on Monday the visiting terms from this coast had two games. In the morning they played two rinks from the Napier team which recently was in Taranaki. Pihama won by 20 to 19, and Waverley was defeated 9—23. In the afternoon other rinks from Na.pier Club were played, when both the visiting teams were beaten: Pihama 19—20, and Waverley 11—20. Patea entertained St. John's one day last week and on the aggregate in two games, beat them by 226 to 170. Five rinks were playing. Westboume, the new Wanganui club, played at Waverley on Saturday, and won by 01—60.
