At the Addlngton market there were much smaller yardlngs of fat stock, and prices of everything recovered to almost the rates ruling before the previous week's drop. The rise in fat lambs was about 3s, in fat sheep 2s to 4s per head, and prime cattle 20s to 25s per head. The store sheep market was a little firmer without actual improvement in prices, except for ewes, and store cattle also met with a better sale. Had the sou- 'wester that set in the day before brought more rain no doubt the stoTe stock market would have been firmer. Dairy cows were In good demand, but pigs were rather dull of sale. Store sheep—Good 2-tooth ewes 2Gs to 29s 3d, others 20s 8d to 25s 9d, 4, 6 and 8-tooth ewes 22s 5d to 23s 3d, sound-mouth ewes 16s to 26s Td, aged ewes 7s to lis, 2-tooth wethers 17s lOd to 26s Id, wether lambs 13s 7d to 17s, ewe lambs 20s. Fat sheep—Prime welhers 32s to 39s 9d, medium wethers 27s 6d to 31s 6d, lighter wethers 25s to 275, prime ewes to 29s 6d, lighter ewes 20s to 23s 6d. Prices were on a par with last week's fates. Steers sold at from £l4 5s to £2l 15s; cows and heifers sold at from £8 10s to £l4 17s 6d. Calves came forward in small numbers, and improved 10s to £1 a head for good vealers and runners, the latter especially being short of requirements. from £5 5s to I £7 10s; heavy vealers, £3 103 to £4 17s Cd; medium, £2 12s to £3 ss; light, £1 12s to £2 10s; fresh-dropped, 4s to £1 ss. Sheep were penned in scarcely average numbers. The market showed a firmer tone, and prices imI proved on lote sales. Best wethers, £1 5s to £2; medium, £1 10s 9d to £1 14s 9d; small and unfinished, £1 4s 9d to £1 9s 9d; best ewes, £1 8s to £1 14s 6d; medium, £1 3s to £1 7s 9d; small, 18s to £1 2s 9d. Lambs were penned in average numbers, and sold at late rates. Best, £1 5s to £1 9s 9d; medium, 18s to £1 45,9 d; small, 13s to 17s 9d. Pigs were yarded in average numbers, and continue firm for all butchers' sorts at late improved values. No chonners yarded. Medium to heavy bacor ers, £5 to £6 2s 6d; light baconers, £4 5s to £4 19s; heavy porkers, £3 15s to £4 4s; medium. £3 5s to £3 14s; small, £2 5s to £3 4s; weaners (good), 16s to £1 Is; others (small), 9s 10 13s.
