MOTOR CYCLE RACES.

Very keen interest is being taken in the motor cycle races which are to be held on the JCgmont racecourse, Hawera, on .Monday next (Anniversary Day). The competitors include such, brilliant riders as Coleman, Crawley, Mangham, and Sweeney, whilst there are also some very promising local riders competing. Those who remember Coleman's many hair-raising stunts la»t year will learn with interest that he is a sure starter again this year. As the majority of towns have now decided to observe the day 13 a holiday, and, given fine weather, Hawera should luive a big influx of visitors. Last year when there were fully 3000 people present the committee got the events off very punctually, nrtrt it is to be hoped such will be the case this year. The Women's National Reserve have kindly come forward and offered to take charge of the afternoon tea kioslj, the whoie of the net proceeds to go to the Returned Soldiers' Big Push fund.
