SOLDIERS AND MATRICULATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, March 20. The executive of the Returned Soldiers' Association has expressed approval of the principle of dispensing with the matriculation test for returned soldiers who are desirous of sitting for certain academic ditsinctions, and urged the New Zealand University to follow the lead of English universities and dispense with, or modify, this test for returned soldiers desirous of sitting for these distinctions.
