The Pan-American Union has requested the American delegates at Paris to insist upon the insertion of a clause in the League of Nations safeguarding Monroeism, and allowing the pan-Ameriean Union, or a similar body, to care completely for American questions. Senator Hitchcock, of the Foreign Relations Committee, said that the spread of Bolshevism in Europe would do more to hasten peace and solidify the Allies than anything yet devised.—Aus. N.Z.
