FIRES AT HOKITIKA.
INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hokitika, March 24. Early on Saturday morning an unoccupied building was destroyed by fire, the cause being unknown. On Sunday morning at 4 o'clock there was another alarm and two fires were discovered in different parts of the town. One outbreak in the centre of Eevel Street, was easily extinguished, but the other instance, an unoccupied residence formerly the home of the late Hon. Mr. Holmes, was completely destroyed. Considerable alarm ; s felt as incendiarism is suspected.
