KOREA.
INDEPENDENCE WANTED. WIDESPREAD DISORDERS. Received March 22, 5.5 p.m. Washington, March 16. The Korean National Association has asked President Wilson to initiate action at the Peace Conference towards obtaining independence for Korea. Dispatches from Assaghai say that disorders in Korea were more widespread than was admitted by the Japanese authorities. In one instance thirty rioters were killed and forty wounded.—Aus. N.Z.
