■RED ARMY'S TRAIL OF PILLAGE. Stockholm, Jan. 7. The correspondent of Svenska Dagbladet at Reval telegraphs that the Bolshevist invasion is advancing slowly, but irresistibly. It is still possible to get from Reval to Dorpat without meeting any of their hordes, as these only advance along the railway line and the high roads; otherwise all communication between the capital and the provinces is cut. The Bolshevist, forces pour in from the east, overrunning the richer and more productive parts of the country, which they pillage with great completeness, carrying away the cattle and corn, and leaving the farmers without anything. The landowners and farmers have fled from the countryside to Reval and Riga, and many are leaving the country, taking refuge in Finland, Sweden and Germany.

Bolshevist prisoners confess that their instructions are to plunder and make away with the German barons, chiefly in order to curry favor with the Esthonian peasantry, who hate these rich landowners. In Reval great depression prevails. Recruiting in Stockholm is progressing favorably. The Director of the Lithuanian Recruiting Bureau states that he hopes to be able to raise a contingent of 19.Q00 men,
