THE ELECTRIC BUS.
SERVICE COMMENCES TO-DAY. The new municipal electric bus, which commences its serviee to-day, was "iven a. trial run over the routes yesterday md gave entire satisfaction. Mr R H Bartley had control of the bus,' which carried nine passengers. The bus first went to the Westown terminus, and on returning to town traversed the town route. In each case the time occupied was well within that provided in the schedule, and no difficulty i 3 anticipated in adhenng to the time-table arranged. As stated previously, the bus will be operated on the one-man svstem The interior of the vehicle is fitted up verv comfortably being upholstered in leather. Electric light is provided for ?nf n^% and 6leCt , ric buttons hav e installed for signalling purposes. The ventdation is not considered altogether satisfactory and some alteration in this connection is contemplated.
