SITTING OF CONCILIATION COUNCIL

A sitting of the Conciliation Council was held at New Plymouth yesterdav, •under the presidency of Mr. T. Harle Giles, Commissioner, to consider a dispute between the New Plymouth Grocers' Assistants' Industrial Union of Workers and the employers in the grocery trade throughout Taranaki district The assessors for the employers were Messrs C. Carter (New Plymouth) W. McDonald (Stratford), and It Builock (Hawera), and for the employees Messrs Robert McKeen (Wellington) J. O'Grady (New Plymouth), and j'tt Mortensen (Auckland). Consideration of the matters m dispute was taken in committee, but no agreement was reached, and the council adjourned until this, morning.
