INGLEWOOD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Our boys who have borne the brunt of active service are gradually treking homeward. During the past week Private Hunter, Old, T. Wallace, R. Bishell (main body), and E. Butler and J. Low have returned. There was a good yarding at the sheep fair on Wednesday last, satisfactory prices being realised. The New Plymouth band will render musical selections at the recreation grounds, Inglewood, on Sunday the 16th inst. Miss D. Simpson, assistant teacher at Norfolk Koad, who has been transferred to Ongaruhe School, was the recipient of farewell presentations from the school children on Friday last. There have been several sales of farms lately, and in every case the prices indicate the land valueß are on the increase. Mr Harrison's farm of 670 acres, on the Richmond road, changed hands last Saturday, the purchaser being Mr Harris, of Waihi.
The cattle sale to-day attracted heavy entries, and improved prices were offering for good lines. ''
