HALF-YEARLY CONFERENCE. ' By Telegraph.—Press Association. DUNEDIN, March-5. The half-yearly conference of the New Zealand Catholic Federation, Dominion Council, was opsnod to-day. The president (Mi. Popplewell) occupied the chair. The report of the Dominion executive showed satisfactory progress. The conference agreed that the Dominion executive interview the hierarchy a.s soon as possible regarding the educational policy of the Catholic body, and take what action it deemed necessary. The question of uniform scholprship examinations was considered, and it was decided to convene a coiference of teachers and arrange a uniform scheme.
