SLAUGHTERMEN'S PAY A TEAM FROM AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night, Last year slaughtermen were paid 30s per hundred. The present rate is 32s Cd, in many places a war bonus of 2s Bd being paid. Last week a team of men arrived from Sydney under engagement. Their fares were paid. They were guaranteed three months' work and given a retaining fee of 2s per day.
