RETURNING SOLDIERS.
THE (HORORATA DRAFT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The question is raised whether the troops due in Wellington on tho 13th inst., by the steamer Hororata can be stryled "Main Body" draft. It is pointed out that them are at least 228 men bearing Rifle Brigade numbers and 187 men with straight out numbers. It is stated that the 1500 men on the Hororata really represent the first draft of fit men of 1014-15, including a number of Main Body men. A later message by wireless from steamer Port Melbourne states: "Health of troops at present satisfactory." .Evidently the influenza patients are better. THE PORT MELBOURNE. Wellington, Last Night. The transport Port Melbourne is duo on Thursday, not to-morrow. The latest information regarding the transport Port Melbourne, with 1215 soldiers aboard, is that the health of the men is satisfactory. .When the ship reached Colon it was reported that 58 eases of influenza had occurred after the vessel le'ft England. It is presumed the men have now recovered. On arrival to-morrow 24 hours' detention will be ordered, so that providing no sickness is aboard the men will disembark on Friday. THE TARANAKI CONTINGENT. Draft No. 221 of returning soldiers, which is coming by the Hororata, is due at Wellington on Thursday, March 13. The roll consists of 1500 of all ranks, and amongst whom are a fair number of main body men. The following Taranaki names appear in the list:— 2nd-Lieutenant W. T. Bird, Fitzroy. Sergeant L. O.
