GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL.

SWIMMING SPORTS. Yesterday was an ideal day for swimmers, and complete enjoyment characterised the annual swimming sports of the New Plymouth Girls' High School, which took place at the municipal baths. There were good entries in most of the events, and the sports were witnessed by a number of interested spectators. Several girls put up very good performances. In the senior championship events, D. Brown scored 3 firsts and i thirds, her nearest opponents being 1 7 points away. M. Smart annexed the I junior championship with 2 firsts and a second, and in the preparatory division M. Hutchen put up a similar record. The events were got off with despatch, and the officials are to be congratulated in that respect.
