FIRES.
MANGATAINOKA HOTEL BURNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Pahiatua, Feb. 26. The Dudley Arms Hotel at Mangatainoka was completely destroyed by fire at 2 o'clock this morning. The licensee," E. J. Knapmami, is a heavy loser, as nothing except the cash register and the piano were saved. Seven boarders were in the place at the time and all escaped, though most lost their belongings. The property was owned by Staples and Co., Wellington. The insurances are not available here.
