DEBATE IN PARLIAMENT, PREMIER REFUSES ANOTHER CONFERENCE, Received Feb. 25, 7.40 p.m. London, Feb. 24. In the House of Commons, on the second reading of the debate on the Coal Commissions Bill, a remarkable dii cnce of opinion was revealed. The . .ners' members demanded that the Government should immediately grant the wages and hours claimed. Mr. Lloyd George definitely refused another conference with the miners, as the Government did not possess the requisite fundamental data.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc.
