■»» H ■ TARANAIiI EASTER TOURNAMENT. The New Plymouth Golf Club will hold the Fourteenth Annual Easter Tournament and Taranaki Championship at the Waiwakaiho Links on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, April 19th. 21st and 2i!nd. During the period of the War the prizes, etc., were reduced in order that the Tournament could be run without loss, but now that the war is over the Committee has decided to revert to prewar conditions and give the usual trop» hies. The programme will be the same as that of previous years, played a 9 lotlows:—On Saturday a3O hole medal match, the 10 bast cards qualifying for the Championship; on Monday morning the second round of the championship awl an 18 hole bogey match; in the afternoon tbo third round of the championship, and an 18 hole medal match; on Tuesday morning the fourth round of the championship and an IS hole pairs-best-ball bogey match and on Tuesday afternoon the championship final and an 18 hole bogey match. Continuous putting will be held and prizes given for the best cards put in each day. The ladies have also been catered for and matches are on the programme to be played by them on Monday and Tuesday, commencing at 11 a.m. each day. The Tarajiald Tournament has now become a very popular fixture and is patronised by most of tbe leading golfers of the North, Island at'-Raster, and from enquiries afready received this year promises to eclipse all others in the number of class and competitors who will be present. The committee already have tbe course in preparation and by Easter the links will be in excellent order for play. *
