STILL DEFYING THE AUTHORITIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Definite action is now being taken by the authorities against the Jugo-Slavs, who have been defying the Alien Service , regulations during (he last few weeks. A number have been interned, nnd this ; policy will be continued so long as these , aliens refuse to obey the law, which re- ] quires of them national service. Notwithstanding the arrests, the position in regard to the Jugo-Slav objsctors remains very much as before. Most of those who struck at Paeroa have returned to work, but throughout the province a large proportion of Jugo-Slavs who have , been absent without leave from works , where they were employed are still defy- ', ing the authorities.
