ELTHAM.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ' Eltham, Feb. 19,
P.C.R. Bro. R. E. Rogers has been elected delegate to represent the Eltham Court of Foresters at the half-yearly meeting to be held at New Plymouth at the end of the month. Foreman T. Glentworth has been elected delegate to represent the lite brigade at the conference to be held at New Plymouth this week. Siincrintondnnt 11. A. Nultall and Secretary A. M. Bun-ows, on tho executive of the association, will also attend. Foreman A. Hindi will represent the brigade, at the Invtraugill conference. Train arrangements are anything but "atisfactory. Those who arrange their business engagements with tlie official time-table lose many valuable hours, and apparently have no remedy. The Chamber of Commerce has made an effort to awaken the Department, but the latter does not (or cannotl make any effort to overtake those daily delays. Railway traliii: is very heavy jusi, now. A -ipecial train from 'south of Hawera had some fine stock that was being railed to the Stratford Show grounds.
