MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the general committee of the Taranaki Agricultural Societ.v was held on Saturday afternoon. Pro;.ent: Messrs W. B. Grant (in the chair), A. Lister, C. Dobsoit, J. Hodson, \V. Scott, B. Honeyfleld, T. Luxton, A. TMoore, and W. Morris, Mr C. Peach, stationmaster, wrote with reference to the train arrangements on People's Day, March 0, stating that a special train will leave New Plymouth at ti p.m. and will connect with Waiiara and Toko branches. The arrangements for carrying show stock will btsiniilar to those of last year. It was regretted that the ordinary 3.45 p.m. train could not be delayed on the fir°* day of the show. The chairman reported that the subcommitttee appointed to canvass for subscriptions was meeting with a good respond. Various matters in connection with the autumn show were dealt with. It \vas_decided to engage the Citizens' Hand to provide music on the second day of the show.
