Cable advice has been received that Lieut R. h. Okey has been awarded the Military Cross. A Paris cable says that Mr Hughes' and Mr Massoy contemplate an early visit to their troops on the Rhine. Mr Oane has received advice that his son, Norman Harold Gane, who has been a prisoner o! war in Germany, lias been repatriated to England. At Okaiawa on Tuesday last Mr 11. R. Penny was married to Miss Maggie Ougliton. Both bride and bridegroom are very well known and highly esteemed in Okaiawa. Mr W- W. Awdrey, sub-editor of tho H'awci'a Star, is relinquishing the position to take up farming. On Saturday lie was the recipient of presentations from the staff and proprietary.
