SCHOONER'S IOTAL LOSfi, By Telepaph.— Press A««»eu.ti«t Auckland, Last Night Further details have been received U day regarding the wreck of the American four-masted schooner " Kapada, which went ashore on what is. known m Barrier Beef, about two or three miles north , of Mumbaulaii Island, and about sixteen miles from Levuka. The schooner waj loaded with 820 tons of copra for the stores of Morris, Uedstram, Ltd., and left ' the harbor at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21, bound for San Francisco, The vessel went ashore in a rain squa!l), and took the reef bird and fast, but no lives were lost. The cargo of copra was worth about £23,000, and the vessel about £15,000. Tha ssene of the wreck was not ] far from whore the n.a. Syria was wrec*.od, when several hundreds of Indians lost , their lives. The wreck was sold by ; Lloyd's agent for .tOIO, the purcjiaeoni being Messrs. Burns, Phjlp and Co
