The order of reference by the Kpidemic Commission was made available to-day as follows: (1) Causes of the Introduction and extension of recent epidemic of inllivenna in New Zealand; C>) the best met hods of preventing or dealing with such occurrences in future; "(3) all matters connected With the arrival in New Zealand waters of the Niagara and Makura in respect to their bearing on the introduction or extension of the epidemic; (4j the administration of the Public Health Twpartinent and of local authorities with regard to their responsibilities In rela-tif-n to the epidemic and generally in regard to public health; (S) the proper reation of the local authorities to thu Publb Health Department in to the prevention or sunnretsion of infectious diseases, and generally in regard to public health; (01 the efficiency of the quarantine arrangements in Xbw Zealand The Commission is to report not later than March.
