DISTRICT NEWS.
WHAREROA. .! A dance was held in the local hall on Friday evening last, when visitors were present from all round, and thus the hall funds were further augmented. Dance music was supplied by Mrs. Benton, whilst the duties of M.C. were capably carried out by Mr. B. Bloor. A good supper was provided by the Wharerca ladies.
Tho local Sunday school children are spending their picnic at tho Ngaere gardens on the 29th inst.
