TRADE MATTERS. London, Jan. 53 Sir Albert Stanley, in a speech at Kuddersfield, said he was dissatisfied at trade not making the advance which might have been anticipated, notwithstanding that the Government was remonng restrictions as rapidly as possible The blockade of Germany must be maintained until peace is secured, but the Government intends to urge co-operation among the Allies in restorinar trade in countries Ibordering on the Central Power,? as far as possible consistently with maintaining trie blockade.
Aeferring to shipping, Sir Albert Stanley Baid there were more ships available than we had cargoes to carry and he expected that by the summer there would be at least as much world tonnage afloat as before the war.
