STRATFORD A. AND P. SHOW.
Entries for this fixture are already coming in freely, and present indications' show every promise of a big advance on preevious years. The schedule has been carefully compiled,, and should meet the requirements of every owner of stock worthy of exhibition- Apart from pure bred stock, there are extensive classes for grades, and perhaps it 13 from grade dairy cattle that the greatest advantage accrues to the farming community of the Stratford district. Owners of good grade stock should obtain a schedule and make tlieir entries without delay. Comparison and competition provide some of the best phases of education and often cause surprise to exhibitors. It may bo that the atoekowner of grades gets an agreeable surprise to find his stock good enough to wiu prize.'), or it may be (hat he Ims to realise that his stock is not so good as he thought. In either case lie is benefited, and if unsuccessful at the first attempt he should be stimulated .to greater efforts. Entries close on the 10th February
