The electricity should he supplied for use and not for profit, therefore the price : should bo made as low as possible.

Unfavorable weather interfered somewhat with the municipal tod recital at the breakwater last night. At tlie advertised time of the recital the weather was threatening, yet in spile of this a largo crowd, numbering from GOO to 700, gathered to hear the programme. Early in the evening rain began to fall and a number of people hurried back to town. The rain was not sufficient, however, to stop the concert, and the following programme v>as played: Quickstep, "Agan<lab"; suite, "Star of the Ball"; selection, "English Songs"; quickstep, "The Contemptibles"; cornet solo, "A Perfect Day" (Bandsman Voght, soloist); lancers, "Old Tunes"; march, "When the Boys Come Home"; and "God Save the King." The next municipal recital will be given on Thursday next, at the East End reserve.
