GROWING STEADILY WORSE. Sydney, Jan. Id. Bad throughout the war, the cable congestion since the signing of tho armist'ee has grown steadily worse, and tho delivery idore erratic. j3oth routes are alleeted From one to two days' delay over one route is lengthened to a full week. Press messages are now teing delivered seven days ont of date and occasional messages a fortnight behind time. Primarily tho enormoaa quantity of official matter, which takes precedence of all other, is responsible, but line faults on the Eastern route are a contributing cause, and a break between tho Far East and America is causing a large mount of business to be diverted via Australia, further adding to the already over-choked services.—Aus.-N.2L Cabla Assn.
