THE SONOMA QUARANTINED.

The Sonoma has arrived fiom San Francisco and was quarantined owing to a suspicious case of pneumonia, now convalescent. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
LABOR MATTERS,
Perth, Jin. 15.
Seven members of the Tramway Union were fined £5 each for striking, and the union was fined £25 for having instigated a strike.
Speaking at a Labor deputation ?o the Premier, Mr M'Allum (Labor Federation secretary) urged the Government to prepare a programme of public works as in a year there would 'be 20,000 returned soldiers in West Australia., half cf whom would be unemployed. He did not desire to see what was happening in Russia, hut if bloody revolution was desired the Labor leaders need only allow the Government to continue its present inaction. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
