The question of charges for medical attendance made by Dr. Paget during the epdiemic was discussed and a. motion carried to inquire from the Defence Department whether, when in Stratford during the epidemic, Dr. Paget was receiving military pay. 11l response to the request J>y the Hospital for grants to meet payments in connection with the epicTSmiu, the secretary has received £l3*oo which will help considerably to tide the board over what Mr. Moriiion terms a Government liability.
Dr- Steven, medical superintendent, stated in his monthly letter to the Hospital Board to-day that since his last report. -?2 patients were admitted, 41 ch'irfrod. and 5 deaths had occurred, and 11 patients now remained in the hospital, There were two patients in the isolation ward.
