LEADERS EXERCISING RESTRAINT. London, Jan. 8. The Times' Dublin correspondent states that the Sinn Feiners have abandoned the proposed demonstration in the House of Commons. The leaders are exercising restraint in the hope that Irish representation will he allowed at the Peace Conference. If this is refused they will resort to desperate measures, including a general strike. They are collecting £BO,OOO to establish a daily paper in Dublin.—Times Service. SINN EEINER SENT TO PRISON. Received Jan. 10, 7.30 p.m. London, Jan. 8. A SinA Fein member of Parliament named Sears has been sentenced to six months' imprisonment for delivering a speech inciting the audience to shoot the authorities when the occasion arose. —Reuter.
