'A meeting of the Seamen's Union decided to take away ships calling at infected areas if the men were granted a 50 per cent, increase in pay, an insurance uf £SOO against death from influenza, and, in tlie event of a member contracting disease, a continuation of wages until recovery The claims have been forwarded to the companies.
