The Chicago News' faris correspondent cables that France's demands at the peace table will probably include the possession of Alsace-Lorraine and the Saar basin; the neutralisation of the left bank of the Rhine and a strip 30 kilometres wide on the right bank of the Rhine; an. unrestricted protectorate over Morocco; a. share in the German colonies; full indemnification for the destruction -wrought during the war, indemnities to be paid in coal and manufactured goods pending the rehabilitation of French mines and factories; preferential treatment of imports of raw materials pending the rehabilitation of French industries; international action regarding France as a favored nation commercially without reciprocation.— Aua.-N.Z.
