DEATH IN A CREEK.

Thames, Jan. 4.
At the inquest on the body of Adam Crabb, aged ten years, which was found in a creek-bed live miles from Thames, it was shown that the hoy probably /ell from a pohutakawa oil to the stones below, which were covered with blood, death following almost at oncc. ,
A verdict was returned of accidental death.
A BABY DROWNED.
Dannevirke, Jan. 4.
Nolo Pearson, the baby son of Jaraesl R. Pearson, Tahoraite, was found drowned yesterday in a creek near his parents' residence^
FOUND DEAD.
Dannevirke, Jan. 4.
An elderly man, about 50 years of age, a stranger to Dannevirke,. was found dead in a railway urinal this morning. Deceased was a powerful man, nearly six feet in height and was wearing a brown tweed coat and trousers and grey vest. • He was found lying face downwards 'on a cushion taken from a railway carriage. Apparently ho had expired in his sleep.
