THE RABAWA. The Rarawa arrived from Onehunga early on Tuesday morning on her usual rip and sailed again (or the north after the arrival of the mall train at night, which will be the time of her regular sailing from the breakwater in future. Her inward and outward passenger lists were larger than has, been the case for many months past, the inward list numbering 114. She also brought a considerable Quantitj of cargo. She is due agalu to-morrow (Saturday) morning. THE CORINNA. •! The Corinna arrived from Nelson on Christmas Day. After discharging her cargo she leads 12,000 crates of cheese for Wellington and returns direct to load a further 12,0011 crates, being due here again about New Year.

THE KAMO. The Kamo is loading at Lyttelton for New Plymouth, and will come here direct, being due about Monday. VESSELS HELD CP Wellington, Dec. 24. The hold-up of the Moeraki at Sydney finds a counterpart in the position here. Owing to the difficulty of getting firemen to go to sea the Pateena has been laid up for the past fortnight, the busiest season of the year for passenger vessels, and, as tile stokehold could not be manned, Uie ship was paid off yesterday. The Kurow has also been detailed here for the past week for lack of firemen, and as she carried ten thousand bales the delay Is a serious matter. Australians stranded in Wellington have cabled the Acting-Premier of the Commonwealth asking that action be taken to relieve the position, as some visitors are seriously embarrassed by the delay, and the New Zealand Government and shipping people are unable tn give any satisfaction.
