" Sir James Alien stated that the first task was the evacuation of the sick and wounded, and this was being done now. The holidays would probably be observed at the front as elsewhere, and It was therefore unlikely that any of the fit men of the division would be taken over to England lintil the New Year. He added: "We may possibly fee the first of the men about April nest."
