AHJ. HOLLAND CHALLENGES THE MINISTER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Dec. 19Mr. Holland, M.P., challenges Sir James Allen's statement regarding Lieutenant Crampton. He aileges that the admissions made by Crampton before the court-martial in Samoa were not referred to, and wants to know if thoy were placed before Mr. Hewitt, S.M., who lield the inquiry, or whether they are going to be treated as confidential Mr. Holland says: "I want to make a further charge. Q.M S. Porter, second in command at Wanganui, has been forced out of the Defence Department by reason of his opposition to the method! of Crampton at Wanganui. The Labor Party is determined that Crampton shall be removed from a position which he would be able to repeat the acts lie committed at Wanganui. I have a letter in my possession which indicates that cruelties wero being perpetrated against certain men in the first week of the month."
