The authorities are discussing a scheme on an unprecedented scale, enabling every unit in the field to be represented. Possibly the navy and air force may have separate pageants. Steps are being taken to expedite the return of British prisoners. Fifteen Danish ships, in addition to British transports, have been chartered. Many men are arriving at the Rhine towns, and a Rhine steamer service has been organised for their transport.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. and Reuter. THE BRITISH DELEGATION. New York, Deo. IT. Mr. James Tuohy, the Paris correspondent of the New York World, says it is definitely settled that the British delegation for the preliminary peace negotiations will consist of Messrs Lloyd George, Bonar Law, Balfour, and probably Mr. Barnes. The delegation will be accompanied by Sir Robert Borden, Mr. Hughes, anil General Botha. It is understood these will participate only in the preliminary discussions, and that they will not have a place at the Peace Conference. Lord Northcliffe has arrived. It is understood that he will U9e his influence to prevent any weakening in tne demands for the full punishment of Germany.
