Charges of manslaughter, arising outof the fatality in the Khyber Tas= on August 12, were preferred against two taxi-cab drivers, Sidney Carey and Rupert -T. Morris. As the result of being knocked down hy Carey's car, a tramway employee named John Patton was killed. A verdict of not guilty was .returned in both cases.
