EGMONT A. & P. SHOW.
The attention of our readers is drawn to the advertisement of the Egmont A. and P. Association's .15th annual show, which will be-held in Hawera on February 26 and 27, 1919. This is one of the oldest shows in Taranaki, and is of a very high standard. This season, in addition to points prizes in all classes, the committee offer a 55 guinea sterling silver eup for competition in fat sheep classes, also a 5 guinea trophy as points prize in pedigree Shorthorn cattle classes. The usual competitions will he held, and a 20 guinea rose bo\vl_ is offered for competition in the hunting competition. Sheep dog trials will be held on each day. Last year these trials were a great success and attracted numerous entries. A gold medal is offered to boys under IS years of age in the judging competition for milch cows, and additional prizes are offered in thoroughbred horse classes. There aro classes for all breeds of cattle (pedigree and grade), sheep, pigs, horses, and home industries. In the latter many additional classes have, been added to the art section, and a new class for amateur photography has been made. Attention has been given to rural work, and special prizes are offered to school children for essays, seed collections, etc. The committee call; attention to an error which has occurred in the conditions for points prizes in draught, horses. This points prize will be given for most points in class? = 1 to 15 inclusive, and not 1 to 13 as-printed in schedule, page 39.
