The Washington correspondent of the New York Time 3 states that Mr Biirlesoa, Postmaster-General, lias announced the invention of multiplex telephony and telegraph, by which five simultaneous telephonic conversations; or. forty telegraphic messages, can lie sent over a single pair of wires.
