PRESIDENT WILSON. ESCORTED BY AMERICAN FLEET i London, Dec. 12. The American fleet, under the command of Admiral Sims, has sailed from a British port to escort President Wilson into Brest.—Aus.-N.Z. Colonel Roosevelt, in a letter to Mr. George Haven Putnam, the American leader of the- English-speaking Union, u?gea the creation of an arbitration court to settle all possible disputes between the United States and England. Col. Roosevelt says: "This war has made majority of thinking men in the United States realise that the peoples of the United States and the British Empire possess ideals and interests in common. I think tho time has come when the United States and the British Empire can .agree to a universal arbitration treaty. We should say that under no circumstances shall there ever be a resort to war between the United States and the British Empire. The New York Times strongly endorses Colonel Roosevelt's views.—Aus.
