AN URGENT APPEAL TO EXPEDITE SAILING. Received Dee. 12, 9.40 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 12. I The following cable has been despatched to Mr. Mftssey by a deputation representing over three hundred stranded New Zealanders: "We urge immediate assistance to return to the Dominion, and. suggest iliat you approach the Union Company, Federal Prime Minister and .State Premier, urging them to use their influence to settle any dispute between the crew and the company, in order to despatch the Moeraki immediately. There is no sign of the steamer leaving unless strenuous outside pressure is exerted. There will be many cases of hardship if the delay is unduly prolonged."
