In tlie House of .Representatives today, replying to Mr. Parr, Sir James! Allen said, with regard to bringing back the Expeditionary Force, it bad been arranged to evacuate all the sick and wounded during the armistice, and be hoped to have back in New Zealand betwees 8000 and 9000 men by the end of March. That would clear all the hospitals in England. The fit men probably Would not move till peace was signed. A few essential men would be brought back at once, but it would probably take from nine to twelve months to get the whole of the men home. This would be done on the principle that those who went first would be the first brought back,
